The genocidal war on Gaza waged by the barbaric zionist occupation has thrust upon the global zeitgeist a sobering reality: that liberation will not come through moral appeals but necessitates armed resistance. In the words of Assata Shakur, “Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them.” And while the likes of liberals might still be arguing about the “correct” way to liberate a land, the peoples of the Global South learned the answer a long time ago, on the very first day a colonizer stepped foot on land that was never his to step on.
